SECRETARY’S REPORT

    1. 19 September 05 minutes accepted by membership

TREASURER'S REPORT

    1. W2SBI read treasurer’s report for month and accepted by membership
    2. Membership voted to allow up to $50 dollars a month without membership approval to be spent on needed items
    3. If amount is over $50 board must vote
    4. Dues must be paid in full to vote
    5. 14 paid in full members

COMMITTEE REPORTS

    1. Installed KI4KWR as Communications Officer
    2. Installed KF4QPR as Training Officer
    3. Red Cross Liaison:  KE4AZL-no report
    4. Net Manager: Lynnette KB1LGB gave new net script out and requested more net control volunteers
    5. Asked membership about an alternate simplex freq., some suggestions were
      1. 146.430
      2. output of 145.33
      3. go to national calling freq and announce net on whatever freq. we choose
      4. decision tabled until next meeting

OLD BUSINESS

    1. ARRL affiliation is official as of September 16, 2005
    2. Thanks given to Virginia Beach Hamfest volunteers
    3. KG4IIF’s table top critique tabled until next meeting

NEW BUSINESS

    1. Stro gave ARES update.
    2. Announced a lot of work being done on local Tidewater wireless repeaters to provide linking capabilities and broad coverage

    2. Chili cookoff and bring your favorite radio day, 23OCT05 @ 1200, Tarrallton Park

    2. N2NMH discussed community outreach program
      1. He gave out a template of his personal letter and suggested each member of RASON contact HAM’s in their own zip code
      2. Start out with emails and then go from there.
